The new Emerson pots are finally here. After 3 years of development, testing and research we are proud to announce the launch of the guitar pot we’ve always wanted to offer, but couldn’t… until now! The Emerson PREMIER PRO Pot.
These completely new PREMIER PRO pots were designed by the founder and owner Mitch Ingram along with tons of help and technical knowledge from Jon Erickson @tonecraftaudio.
We have been offering our spec’d line of “Emerson PRO CTS pots” for many years, but when 2020 rolled around and supply chain disruptions created lead-times 20x the norm, it became clear that it was time to take matters into our own hands. Mitch was tired of accepting the industry norm that CTS pots are “good enough” or the “best” available and set out to create his own design and brand of in-house pots. The PREMIER PRO pots not only look familiar but are built with an incredibly consistent feel and function from lot to lot. It took a truckload of money, time and effort, but we believe that these new Emerson PREMIER PRO pots are the best guitar pots available… PERIOD.
Unconstrained by an off the shelf menu of factory options, we designed and developed these pots from the ground up. We put extra care into all the fine details. Ideal taper, torque and tolerance is meticulously built-in and our unique lugs are designed specifically for point to point assembly; slightly oversized with plenty of room to run ground wires/buss wires and any other connection you need. We chose a robust Fiberglass substrate that the solder lugs and resistive track are mounted to. This material is exceptionally strong and won’t easily bend and snap like those in many other pots. The taper we used is a custom 20% Audio Taper and a proprietary design from Emerson. This taper works equally as well in the volume position as it does in the tone position.
